Position Overview:
Keerthi Industries Electronic Division is seeking an experienced Chemistry Operations Manager to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad. Reporting directly to the Factory Head, this pivotal role is essential in ensuring the quality and reliability of our printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in chemistry to develop and implement innovative chemical processes, manage chemical supplies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing operations.
This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated chemistry professional to contribute to our growth and expansion efforts while working in a state-of-the-art manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Chemical Process Development
- Develop and implement wet chemical processes for PCB manufacturing, including etching, resist stripping, electroless, and electrolytic plating.
- Conduct regular testing and monitoring of chemical processes to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures for chemical processes.
- Inventory and Supply Management
- Manage and maintain chemical supplies, including inventory control, ordering, and storage.
- Coordinate with external suppliers to ensure compliance with company specifications and industry standards.
- Collaboration and Troubleshooting
- Work closely with production and quality teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize chemical processes.
- Provide training and support to production personnel on chemical processes and procedures.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance product quality.
- Develop and maintain documentation of chemical processes, procedures, and quality control measures.
- Regulatory Compliance and Budgeting
- Ensure compliance with relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Participate in budgeting and cost control activities to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and other stakeholders.
Preferred candidate profile
Requirements
Candidates with many of the below qualifications will be preferred
- Education and Experience
- Doctorate in Chemistry (preferred) or Post Graduate degree in Chemistry.
- Proven experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Experience with quality control procedures, including testing and monitoring.
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) methods.
- Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and standards (e.g., ISO, IPC, AS9100, LCSO).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of PCB-related chemical processes.
- Experience in a leadership role within a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Advanced knowledge of chemical safety and environmental regulations.
